| Chinese Top Leader Mr. Wu Guanzheng Visits Rwanda |

Mr. Wu Guanzheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party and one of the topmost Chinese Leader Visited Rwanda on 28th -30th August, 2006.
He was met and held cordial talks with H. E. President Paul Kagame who gave Mr. Wu and the Chinese delegation a state banquet in the Presidential Office.
The two sides signed an Economic and Technical Agreement, according to which China provides Rwanda a new grant to be used for implementation of development projects or for provision of general merchandise; China and Rwanda also exchanged a letter according to which China shall grant and provide Rwanda with a batch of medical instruments, general medicine and anti-malaria medicine.
Mr. Wu Guanzheng was welcomed and seen off at the airport by the Rt. Hon. Bernard Makuza, the Prime Minister; Hon. Bazivamo Christophe, the Minister of Lands, Environment, Forestry, Water and Mines; Hon. Muriganda Charles, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, amongst other high-ranking officials of the government and the ruling party of Rwanda.
